How to Get Stigmas

Reach level 22 and clear the Ascension quest that shows up there.

The quest gives you one Stigma Shard point, enough for your first Stigma.

Open the Skills menu and switch to the Stigma section.
- 4
Spend shards to learn a Stigma, then put it in a Stigma quickslot so it works.
Use Stigma Shards
Leveling up
1 shard per level from 23 to 39, then 2 per level up to 45.
Abyss Trade Shop
Shards for Abyss Points in four price steps, from level 45. More
Nightmare Shop
1,500 Phantasmal Fragments per shard, limited stock.
Shugo Festival Shop
300 Centuryroot Tokens per shard, limited stock. More
Substance Morph
Turns Unstable Stigma Shards from content into real shards.

How to Equip Stigmas
Pick Stigmas in the Skill Menu

Open Skills and pick the Stigma section.

Choose a learned Stigma and drag it into a Stigma quickslot.

Do it out of combat, since you cannot swap Stigmas mid fight.

PvE and PvP Stigma Presets
PvE preset
Damage and boss tools for dungeons and raids.
PvP preset
Mobility, crowd control and defense for Arena and Abyss.
Cooldown rule
A Stigma on cooldown blocks a preset switch, so swap early.

Needs Superior Stigma Shards, which are much rarer.
Free Superior shard
You get one each time a Stigma first hits level 20.

Resetting a Stigma gives its shards back.

What level do you get Stigmas in AION 2?
Level 22, once you clear the Ascension quest you get at that level. The last of the four slots opens at level 37.
How many Stigma slots are there on Global?
Four. The Korean and Taiwanese versions have more, so older guides may list extra slots.
How many shards does it take to max a Stigma?
75 shards take one Stigma from level 1 to 20. Going past 20 needs Superior Stigma Shards.
Can you reset Stigmas?
Yes. Resetting a Stigma gives back the shards you put into it, so you can try other picks.
