Yes. AION 2 is free on Steam and on the PURPLE launcher. The Special Quai Membership ($14.99 for 30 days) is optional and mainly opens the Market, the Kina and Quna Exchange and player trading. Full answer

There are 8 classes on Global: Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric, Chanter. The ninth class, Brawler, is only in the Korean and Taiwanese versions for now. Full answer
