Ranger Overview

Ranger Basic Information

Role

Ranged physical DPS. You fight from near your max skill range.

Weapon

A bow.

Damage

A fully charged Deadshot, fired while Precision is on the target.

Control

Slows, traps and stuns keep enemies away from you.

How to Play Ranger

Buff Before the Pull

Right before the pull, pop Bow of Blessing, then Vaizel's Authority, and keep Gale Arrow's buff running.

Fight From a Distance

Stay near max range. You are fragile, so save Defiance for when crowd control lands on you.

Crowd Control Openers

Snare Shot slows the target, so Burst Arrow and Explosive Arrow hit harder. Suppressing Arrow can stun.

Mark the Target Before Deadshot

Marking Shot puts Precision on the target. Fire a fully charged Deadshot while it lasts.

Hold Snipe Between Skills

Snipe is your held filler, and it gives MP back.

How far away should a Ranger stand?

Close to your max skill range. That keeps you out of most melee attacks, and you are too fragile to trade hits up close.

What weapon does the Ranger use?

Was the Ranger called Marksman?

Yes. NC called it the Marksman in 2025 announcements. On Global the class is named Ranger.

What is the best Ranger build?

Most players build around Deadshot: put Precision on the target with Marking Shot, then fire a fully charged Deadshot.
