AION 2 Macro Setup Guide

AION 2 has a built-in skill macro. Stack your skills in the Skills menu, bind a macro key, then hold it and your rotation plays out by priority.

How to Set Up a Skill Macro

Open Macro From the Skills Menu

    Press K to open the Skills menu.

    Click Macro in the upper right corner.

  3. 3

    Drag your skills into stacks, most important skill at the bottom.

  4. 4

    Set the delay between steps.

  5. 5

    Open Settings, Key Settings, General and bind a key to the macro.

  6. 6

    Try it on a Training Scarecrow before you take it into a dungeon.

Group Skills Together

Bottom fires first

The lowest skill in a stack has top priority whenever it is ready.

Fallbacks above

Skills higher up fire while the ones below are on cooldown.

Plain damage only

Fill stacks with skills you would press on cooldown anyway.

How to Use Skill Macros

Hold the Macro Key

Hold, do not tap

Keep the key held and the macro keeps cycling your skills.

Follows cooldowns

It only uses skills that are ready, in your stack order.

What to Keep Out of a Macro

  1. Charged skillsThe macro fires them before they reach full charge.
  2. Toggle buffsPressing them again can switch them off.
  3. Defensive cooldownsSave them for the hit you see coming.
  4. Gap closers and crowd controlThese need the right moment and target.

Are Macros Allowed?

The in-game macroA normal game feature. Use it as much as you like while you play.
