Assassin Overview

Assassin Basic Information

Role

Melee single target DPS. You shine behind a boss while the tank holds it.

Weapon

Daggers. Fast hits that lean hard on Critical Hit.

Damage

Stack Insignias, blow them up, then land Heart Gore.

Survival

Low. Good positioning is what keeps you alive.

How to Play Assassin

Strike, Burst, Step Out

Jump in with Shadowstrike, burst, then step out and reset your position when things get messy.

Hit From Behind

Most of your damage comes from behind. Rear Smite and Back Attack Damage only pay off there.

Stealth Positioning

With Shadow Walk you can sneak behind a target before the fight starts. Most PvE builds skip it for damage Stigmas.

Open Bursts With Illusive Clone

Cast Illusive Clone and Swift Contract together at the start of every burst window.

Spend Insignias Before They Fade

Savage Roar and Savage Fang stack Insignias. Detonate them with Insignia Explosion, then follow with Heart Gore.
