Server Transfer Guide: How to Change Servers

Server transfers run from Oct 14 to Oct 27 in two weekly phases. The move is free, and you can take as many characters from one server as you like.

How to Transfer Servers

Get each character ready: level 10 or higher, standing in a village, no Legion and no active Duty.

Claim everything waiting for you: Market items and earnings, Shop Storage (Founder's Pack too) and mail.

Move anything you want to keep out of Server Storage and into the character's bag or Character Storage.

During your region's transfer hours, open the In-Game Shop and pick Server Transfer.

Choose the characters and the target server, then buy the 0 Quna transfer once the button lights up.

You get sent to the title screen. A transfer takes at least a minute, longer when many people move.

Log in and set a new name, because the character arrives as @TemporaryName.

Europe leaves summer time mid Phase 2. Go by the PDT or UTC times to be safe.

Server Transfer Rules and Limits

Other factionYou can only move to a server of your own faction.

Other regionThe target server must be in the same region.

Early Access to LaunchEarly Access servers only send characters to other Early Access servers.

Many characters at onceNo cap on characters, as long as they all leave the same server.

A second transferOne transfer per account for the whole event.

UndoA finished transfer cannot be cancelled or reversed.

Server Transfer Limits

Hourly caps

Each server has a cap for moves in and out. The counts refresh every hour on the hour.

Cap reached

If your server or the target is full, the move is blocked. Wait for the next window.

Closed for good

A server that gets far too many requests can be shut for transfers permanently.

Pets, Skins and Genus Insight

Genus Insight

Choose the old or the new server's progress. The old server's copy resets either way.

Duplicate Special Pet

You keep one on the new server plus a Pet Reward Ticket. Ask support for the refund before the Nov 24 (PST) maintenance.

Duplicate skins

A doubled skin you cannot customize turns into a Skin (Single) Reward Ticket for a 300 Quna shop item.

Pass Shop doubles

Pets or skins from the Pass Shop that you already own come back as Pass Coins.

Characters left behind

Alts that stay on the old server lose the pets and skins that moved.

After the Transfer

New name

Set it on first login. A name already taken on that server is off the table.

Abyss Corridor

If your new server has not captured it, you cannot go in.

Shop limits

Server-limited buys keep the higher count of the two servers, so no extra purchases.

Server-wide rewards

Daily Dungeon, Shugo Festival and Dimensional Invasion progress copies over and also stays behind.

Style Shop

Your shared styles stay up, still showing the old name and server.

PURPLE users

PURPLE sends a push notice when the move is done.

AION 2 Server Transfer FAQ

Is the AION 2 server transfer free?

Yes. The base cost and the per character cost are both 0 Quna. You only pay 1,000 Quna per extra slot if the target server is short on character slots.

Can I transfer to the other faction or another region?

No. Every transfer stays in the same faction and the same region.

Can I move from an Early Access server to a launch server?

No. Early Access servers can only send characters to other Early Access servers, and only during Phase 1.

Why is the Server Transfer button greyed out?

You are outside your region's hours, a character misses a requirement, or your server or the target hit its hourly cap. Try the next window.

Will there be more server transfers later?

Maybe. NC says it may sell transfers again later, maybe in a similar form, but there is no date yet.
