How to Get Mounts
Collect Pet Souls

Open the Pets menu and choose a pet to ride.

Its Source tab names the monster that drops its souls and where it lives.

Hunt that monster until you have 5 souls.
- 4
The pet joins your collection, ready to equip and ride.

Buy Special Mounts in the Shop
- Pet: Pumpkin Carriage
- Pet: Little Ghost
- On sale until the Nov 24 PST maintenance
- Includes Pet: Black Dragon
- Plus wings, skins and 30 days of Membership

How to Get the Mount System
Main Story Progress

Follow the main story quests in your starting zone.

Around level 10, a story quest asks you to choose one of three starter pets.

Pick one and the full Pets menu opens up.
- 4
From here on, every pet you collect is also a mount.
How to Ride Mounts
Equip a Pet, Then Press the Mount Key

Open the Pets menu.

Select a pet you own and press Equip.
- 3
Press C to call it and hop on.
- 4
Press C again to get off.

How to Get Mounts in AION 2 FAQ
Are mounts and pets the same in AION 2?
Yes. Every pet you collect can be ridden, so there is no separate mount item to find.
How many souls do you need for a mount?
5 souls get you the pet. Leveling it to 3 takes 100 more, 105 in total.
What key do you use to ride a mount?
C by default. Equip the pet in the Pets menu first, then press C to ride and C again to get off.
Can you buy mounts in AION 2?
Yes, some pets are sold in the shop and the Ultimate Founder's Pack has the Black Dragon. Most pets come from farming souls for free.
