Pet Guide: Which Pet to Choose and How to Get Pets

Pets follow you, double as mounts and add stats through Owned Effects. Every pet you collect makes your character a little stronger, so collect wide.

Which Pet to Choose

Every account that logs in before the Dec 1 maintenance gets the launch Pet Chest: Pagati plus one pet of your choice.

Choose the Most Aesthetically Pleasing Pet

PapisTiny bonus to mount ground speed
Silver Blade RotanMount sprint costs slightly less stamina
Konutin Worker+3 Stamina
Black Smoke Murute+3 Stamina, same bonus as Konutin Worker

The gap is tiny and every mount runs at the same speed. Pick the one you like looking at.

How to Get Pets Fast

Hunt Down Monsters for Pet Souls

Open the Pets menu and select a pet you want.

Its Source tab names the monster that drops its Soul and where it lives.

Farm that monster until you have 5 Souls to register the pet.

Keep farming Souls to level the pet and grow its Owned Effects.

Kina shop

Buy pets with Kina and skip the Soul farming.

New stock every hour

The list rotates hourly. Check back if the pet you want is not there.

Follow the main story to around level 10.

Elyos take the All Geared Up quest. Asmodians take Gathering Essentials.

Pick one of the three starter pets it offers.

The Pets menu opens, and you can equip and ride your pet.

Which free pet should I pick from the Pet Chest?

The one you like the look of. Papis adds a bit of mount speed and Konutin Worker or Black Smoke Murute add Stamina, but the gap is tiny.

How many Souls do I need for a pet?

5 Souls register a pet. More Souls of the same pet level it up.

Do pets give stats?

Yes. Every pet you own adds an Owned Effect to your character, so a bigger collection means more stats.

Are pets shared between my characters?

Yes, on the same server. If you transfer servers, your pets move with the character.
