Spacetime Rift Guide

Spacetime Rifts are portals into the other faction's region. Players report one every 3 hours, with 10 minutes to jump in and an hour on enemy ground.

What is a Spacetime Rift?

Asmodians come the other way into Verteron.

Paired server

The enemy players you meet come from the server yours is paired with.

Check your map

When a rift opens, look for the portal on your map.

Portals fill up

After a few hundred players pass, it closes and a new portal can appear elsewhere.

Most guides and player timers put openings at 00:00, 03:00, 06:00 UTC and every 3 hours after. NC has not posted an official schedule.

Avoid Enemy Kibelisks and Settlements

Enemy guards hit hard

Guards at enemy bases attack on sight and can kill you fast.

No enemy fast travel

You cannot use the other faction's Kibelisks.

Set your own spawn

Place your own respawn point somewhere safe, so a death does not end your trip.

War Mode and PvP

PvP is optionalStay out of War Mode and enemy players cannot attack you.
Switch inside the riftYou can only change War Mode in your own territory.
Quick switch backEach change starts a 70-minute cooldown, so pick before you go.

Quests in Spacetime Rift

Enter the Spacetime Rift to Finish the First Quest

  1. 1

    Reach level 45 and pick up the rift quests from Mino in Verteron (Elyos) or Uru in Altgard (Asmodians).

  2. 2

    Go through a portal that shows a green quest marker. That finishes the first quest.

  3. 3

    Do the rest of the quests on the enemy map.

  4. 4

    Hand everything in back home after the rift sends you back.

Do I have to PvP in a Spacetime Rift?

No. If you stay out of War Mode, enemy players cannot attack you. Guards at enemy bases still will.

What time does the next Spacetime Rift open?

Players report one every 3 hours, most often at 00:00, 03:00, 06:00 UTC and so on. NC has not posted an official schedule.

How do I get home from a rift?

Wait out your hour and the game sends you back on its own.

Why can I not see the rift portal?

Rifts need level 45, so check your level first. Then check that a rift is open right now.
