Clash Runes fill the two rune slots under your accessories. Power Shards are cheap ammo that adds damage while you keep them switched on.

Failed Upgrades Can Destroy the Rune

+1 is freeThe first level always works.

Get both runes to +1 first. Push higher only with spare runes on hand.

What are Clash Runes?

Two runes add 80 item level, and every level of enhance makes the stats grow.

What are Power Shards?

Activated Items That Boost Your Damage

Power Shard+5% damage, cheap enough for daily runs
Superior Power Shard+10% damage, keep it for bosses
Abyssal Power Shard+10% damage and skips part of a player's Defense

Put the shard in its quick slot at the bottom of the HUD.

Drag it down to switch it on, and up to switch it off.

While it is on, every attack eats a shard.

When to Use Power Shards

Save them for hard fights

Turn them on for bosses and damage checks, off for trash mobs and quests.

Abyssal shards for PvP

Their Defense ignore only works on players, so save them for the Abyss.

AION 2 Clash Runes and Power Shards FAQ

Can Clash Runes break in AION 2?

Yes. After +1, a failed enhance can destroy the rune. Normal gear never breaks.

How many Clash Runes can I equip?

Two. The rune slots sit under your accessory slots.

Are Power Shards worth using?

Yes, for bosses and PvP. Basic shards cost 10 Kina, so just switch them off between fights.

Do Power Shards run out?

Yes. Each attack uses one while they are switched on.
