How to Enhance Gear
Each tab does a different job. Growth raises the level, the rest add or move bonus lines.
Growth System
Spend Kina and Enhance Stones to raise the item's level. Each level adds stats and item level.
Manastone Engraving
Rolls random stat lines on weapons and armor. Soulstones do the same on accessories. More
Theostone Engraving
Gives a weapon or guard a small chance to trigger an extra effect on hit. More
Soul Binding
Adds bonus lines, some with skill levels, then pushes them to their max. More
Transfer System
Moves levels and Soul Binding from an old item onto a new one. More

Open the Enhancement window from the main menu.
- 2
Stay on the Growth tab and pick the item you want to upgrade.
- 3
Check the success chance and the Kina and stone cost on screen.
- 4
Confirm, and repeat until you reach the next risky level.
Enhancement Levels and Failure

Clash Runes are the exception: a failed rune upgrade can destroy the rune.

Potential
Separate from levels
Potential sits in the Growth tab as its own upgrade, apart from the item level.
Lost on Transfer
Potential does not move to new gear, so add it to items you will keep.
When to Enhance Gear
Go easy before level 45
Story gear gets swapped all the time, so skip big rolls and risky levels.
Belts and Amulets First
You keep them all game and grow them by grade, so +10 them every time.
Pushing Past Item Level 1,400
A +10 Unique belt and amulet go a long way toward the 1,400 item level wall.
Spend big only on keepers
Dungeon or crafted pieces you will wear for a while earn the risky levels.
How to Upgrade Belts and Amulets

Hold on to the belt and amulet you get while leveling.

Enhance each one to +10 with its own enhance scroll.
- 3
At +10, use Substance Morph to turn it into the next grade.
- 4
Enhance the new grade to +10 again.
- 5
Repeat until both pieces are Unique.

What is Enhancement?
More stats
Every level adds base stats to the item.
Higher item level
Levels raise item level, which gates harder dungeons.
Not wasted on swaps
Transfer or extraction gets a good part of the value back when you replace gear.
How to Enhance Gear FAQ
Can enhancing break my gear in AION 2?
No. Normal gear keeps its level when a try fails. Only Clash Runes can be destroyed by a failed upgrade.
Is enhancing to +10 always safe?
Yes. Every level up to +10 succeeds. You only pay Kina and Enhance Stones.
Should I enhance quest gear?
Only lightly. You replace it often before level 45, and big spending is better saved for gear you keep.
What happens to my levels when I get new gear?
Use Transfer to move them onto the new item, or extract the old one to get its Enhance Stones back.
