How to Use Manastones and Soulstones

Manastones add random stat lines to weapons and armor. Soulstones do the same job on accessories.

How to Use Manastones and Soulstones

    Open the Enhancement window and pick the Manastone tab.

  2. 2

    Select the item and check how many stone slots it has.

  3. 3

    Pick a Manastone for weapons and armor, or a Soulstone for accessories.

  4. 4

    Pay the Kina. One engrave rolls a random line in every open slot.

  5. 5

    Engrave again to reroll. The old lines get replaced, and you cannot lock one.

Unique gear usually has 4 stone slots. Lower grades have fewer.

Better stones raise your odds at good lines. They never pick the stat for you.

Three tiers

Lesser, Intermediate and Superior. Higher tiers roll bigger numbers.

Which Manastones to Save

Cheap stones on temporary gear

Lesser and Intermediate rolls are fine while your gear keeps changing.

Superior on keepers

Save Superior stones for pieces you plan to wear for a long time.

Engrave last

Transfer wipes stones, so engrave after you settle on the final item.

Chase Damage Boost

Damage Boost lines are the big prize on endgame gear.

How to Use Manastones and Soulstones FAQ

Do Manastones carry over when I transfer gear?

No. Transfer drops them, so the new item needs a fresh engrave.

Can I choose which stat I get?

No. Every slot rolls at random. Better stones only improve your odds.

What is the difference between Manastones and Soulstones?

Manastones go on weapons and armor. Soulstones go on necklaces, earrings and rings.

Can I reroll just one line?

No. A new engrave rerolls every slot on the item at once.
