- Buffs raise your stats, debuffs lower enemy stats or make them easier to stagger.
- Rain, Fina, Lasswell and Nichol all learn party-wide buffs as they level.
- Lasswell's Null Moon adds Stagger Defense Down to its target.

Ways to Apply Buffs and Debuffs
Character and Vision Skills
Most buffs and debuffs come from skills, like Rain's Protectga or Lasswell's Haste. Double check the target so you do not buff an enemy by mistake.

Limit Bursts
Some Limit Bursts add an effect on top of damage. Lasswell's Null Moon is the classic example, softening its target for 3 turns.
Resonance Skills
Resonance skills can buff the user or the whole team. Warrior of Light's Crystal Braver gives itself Regen plus more defense and Spirit, and Leah's Healing Wind adds Regen to everyone.
Enemy Skills
Enemies buff each other and debuff you too. Answer a debuff with the matching buff to cancel it out.
Openers and Equipment
Opener passives like Haste Opener, Protect Opener and Faith Opener apply a buff for 3 turns as battle starts. Some gear does the same, such as Impetus Breaker slowing an enemy.
