| Lid | Ch. 2: Eternal Blue | She joins in Chapter 2 when you visit her at the Dilmagia shipyard, before the trip over Mt. Thunderclap. |
| Nichol | Ch. 3: Wardens of the Aquapolis | You meet him in Olderion during Chapter 3, and he joins your team at the Cave of Waters. |
| Jake | Ch. 4: Banner Oath | He joins in Chapter 4 at the Rebel Hideout, once you visit him in his room. |

Who are the best characters?
Rain and Nichol form the strongest core, with Sakura, Archwitch Fina and Lid close behind.
How many characters fight at once?
Four. Everyone else waits on the bench, so swap people in based on the boss.
When does each character join?
Rain and Lasswell start with you, Fina joins in Chapter 1, Lid in Chapter 2, Nichol in Chapter 3, Jake in Chapter 4, and Sakura and Archwitch Fina in Chapter 5.
Do dialogue choices matter?
Yes. Some story choices give a permanent stat boost, and the pick is final unless you reload an older save.
