Ignis Weaknesses and How to Beat It in FF Resonance
Ignis is a Chapter 4 boss at the Weapons Factory, and your first two meetings with him are scripted losses. In the one that counts, he grows angrier every time you hit him, more so with Water.
How to Beat Ignis
Before the Fight
- Give everyone a Water skill and bring Tidus, the only Vision with a Water Resonance at this point.
- Have Fina ready to summon Carbuncle on her first turn.
- Put Fire Sprite Earrings on your tank if they will use Multi-Cover.
Ignis Strategy
Reflect His Firagas
Get Carbuncle out right away so Reflect covers the party. His Firaga spells then bounce back at him.
Water Is His Only Weak Spot
Every Water hit pushes his gauge down but also stokes his rage. Keep Reflect and your tank in place while you push.
Let a Tank Take the Solo Hits
A physical tank with Provoke pulls his single target attacks. With Multi-Cover instead, wear Fire Sprite Earrings to halve the Fire damage.
