Leviathan Weaknesses and How to Beat It in FF Resonance
Leviathan rises from Lake Dorr in Chapter 3, protected by Orbs of Light. It gets enraged the longer you take, so breaking the orbs quickly sets the pace.
How to Beat Leviathan
Before the Fight
- Bring Fire for the first orb, plus other elements for orbs that spawn later.
- Stack Lightning for Leviathan itself, Cloud included.
- Make sure Fina has Carbuncle, with Ramuh as a second summon.
Leviathan Strategy
Pop the Orbs First
The first orb falls to Fire, and destroying it weakens Leviathan. New orbs can have other weaknesses, so check each one before you swing.
Blunt Its Magic
Leviathan mostly casts spells. Carbuncle beats Shellga here because Fina is free to attack while it is on the field.
Then Bring the Lightning
With defenses up, switch to Lightning. Cloud's Ascension hits hard on the break, and Ramuh can replace Carbuncle once you no longer need the buffs.
Do Not Drag It Out
A long fight makes it enraged, so keep your turns focused on orbs and damage.
