Side quest boss · Chapter 6
Odin's Shadow Weaknesses and How to Beat It in FF Resonance
Odin's Shadow is the boss of Iron Splitter, a Chapter 6 side quest out in the overworld. Once it uses Concentrate, Zantetsuken lands four turns later, so you are on a timer.
How to Beat Odin's Shadow
Before the Fight
- Bring heavy Lightning like Thundaga Surge, which Cloud and the Warrior of Light both offer.
- Have Dispel ready for its buffs.
- Give your tank Provoke and Multi-Cover, plus evasion from Noctis's Reflex or Ninja Gear.
Odin's Shadow Strategy
Beat the Zantetsuken Count
Four turns after Concentrate, Zantetsuken hits. Pour Lightning into it so it drops before then.
Strip Its Buffs
It raises its own attack and physical defense. Dispel wipes those so your damage stays normal.
Tank Its Physical Hits
Most of its attacks are physical. Rain with Provoke and Multi-Cover takes them all, and extra evasion helps him dodge some.
Counters Buy You Time
Hit it with physical Lightning enough times and it counters. Those counters hurt, but they also push back its doom.
