How to play Candy Match
Swap two candies that sit next to each other to line up 3 or more of the same kind in a row or a column. Matched candies pop, the ones above fall down and new candies drop in from the top, which often sets off free chain reactions.
Each level gives you a goal score and a set number of moves. Reach the goal before the moves run out to pass the level and unlock the next one. There are 30 levels with pink jelly tiles and chocolate blocks mixed in, and your stars and best scores are saved in your browser.
Candy Match special candies and combos
Line up 4 to make a striped candy. Its stripes show what it clears, a full row or a full column. An L or T shape makes a wrapped candy that blasts the 3x3 area around it twice. Line up 5 for a rainbow candy, then swap it with any candy to clear every candy of that color.
Swap two special candies together for bigger blasts. Two striped candies clear a row and a column, striped plus wrapped clears 3 rows and 3 columns, two wrapped candies make a huge 5x5 blast, and a rainbow candy turns every candy of the other one's color into striped or wrapped candies. Two rainbow candies clear the whole board.
How scoring works in Candy Match
Every candy in a match is worth 20 points and every candy cleared by a special candy is worth 30. Making a special candy adds a bonus of 60 for striped, 120 for wrapped and 200 for rainbow. Each layer of pink jelly gives 100 points and each hit on a chocolate block gives 60.
Chain reactions multiply your points: the first cascade counts double, the next one triple, up to 10 times. Fill the bar to earn 1, 2 or 3 stars. Reaching 3 stars ends the level right away, and every move you have left turns into a striped candy that goes off for extra points.
Candy Match tips for 3 stars
Make matches near the bottom of the board. More candies fall from above, so you get more free cascades. Keep special candies for later and swap two of them together when you can, since combos score far more than single blasts.
Stuck? Wait a few seconds or press Hint and two candies will wiggle to show a good move. If no move is left at all, the board shuffles itself and it does not cost you a move.
Can you play Candy Match on a phone?
Yes. Swipe a candy toward its neighbor or tap two candies one after the other. The board fits any screen, the candies are big and easy to hit, and it runs in the browser with nothing to install. On a computer you can play with the mouse or the arrow keys.
