Tier List Rank Explained

What each rank means
RankWhat it means
LEshmel and the four Flame Lords. Always in your army, so they aren't compared with everyone else.
SUnits that carry fights from the moment they join and keep scaling into Part III.
AStrong picks that fit almost any army. Build them and they won't let you down.
BSolid units that do their job but need a little more care, or shine only in one role.
CUsable with work, but most armies have a better option for the same slot.
DLate joiners or units with rough growths. Fine for fans, not a priority.

Best Unit Evaluation and Criteria

Lords Are Ranked Separately

Eshmel and the four Flame Lords are in every run, so they get their own row.

Growths and Personal Abilities Come First

They stay with a unit in every class. Mu ranks high because Signs of Growth boosts every stat.

Class Options and Skill Boons

Boons that match a strong Master or Divine class push a unit up; banes in that class pull it down.

Recruitment Cost Is Considered

Free or cheap recruits get a small bump. Late joiners have less time to grow.

Level Ups Can Swing a Unit

Growths are averages, so a lucky or unlucky run can move any unit up or down.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Tier List FAQ

Who is the best unit in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave?

Outside the lords, Orchel, Sirocco, Mu, Olympia, Guzran sit at the top of our tier list.

Where are the Flame Lords on the tier list?

Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, Leda and Eshmel are ranked in their own group. You always have them, so it makes more sense to compare the units you actually choose to build.

How is this tier list made?

We look at personal growths, personal abilities, the classes each unit fits, and how much it costs to recruit them. Lists from big guide sites are folded in so one opinion doesn't decide a unit's spot.

Does the tier list matter on easier difficulties?

Not much. On the easier settings almost any unit you like can clear the story. The list helps most on the harder settings or when you want to save time.
