How to play Helix Drop 3D

A smiley ball keeps bouncing on its own. You never move the ball, you spin the tower under it. Each ring is cut into 12 parts with one or two gaps, so turn a gap under the ball and it drops to the next ring.

Red parts are thicker and glow a little. If the ball lands on red, the run is over. Just clipping the edge of a red part next to a normal one still counts as safe. Reach the rainbow platform at the bottom to clear the level.

How scoring and the fireball work

Every ring you pass gives 10 points times the level times how many rings you have dropped since the last bounce. On level 1, falling through three rings in a row gives 10, then 20, then 30. Landing on the finish platform adds a bonus of 50 times the level.

Drop through 3 rings without touching a platform and the ball turns into a fireball. A fireball keeps falling through any gap, and the first ring it lands on smashes into pieces, red parts included.

After a smash the ball stays a little orange until its next bounce. That landing is always safe, even on a red part, so a smash never sends you straight into trouble.

Helix Drop 3D levels and difficulty

Level 1 has 16 rings with wide gaps and only two red parts. Each new level is a bit longer, up to 40 rings, with a few more red parts and narrower gaps, and the tower switches to a new color theme. From about level 28 on, every tower has 40 rings and the same number of red parts, laid out in a new way. Each level is always built the same way, so you can learn the route.

Your highest level is saved on this device. If you lose, you try the same level again and your score starts from 0, while your best score stays saved.

Want an easier tower, or is a younger kid taking a turn? Tap Start from level 1 on the start screen. The round arrow restart button in the bar below the game also goes back to level 1, and Continue on the start screen takes you back to your highest level.

Helix Drop 3D tips to clear more levels

Spin while the ball is high in the air and stop before it comes down. Watch the small shadow under the ball: if you can see it, the ball will land there. If the shadow disappears, there is a gap below and the ball will fall through.

Look for gaps stacked right above each other. Falling through them in one go builds the fireball, and a fireball is the safest way past a ring full of red.

Can you play Helix Drop 3D on a phone?

Yes. Put a finger anywhere on the game and drag left or right to spin the tower. On a computer you can drag with the mouse or use the arrow keys or A and D.

Need a break? Tap the round pause button in the top right corner. The game also pauses by itself when you switch apps or tabs, and both your level and your best score are saved on your device.
