How to play Road Hopper 3D
Your blocky chicken hops one square at a time across a road that never ends. Tap or press Up to hop forward, swipe or use the arrow keys to hop left, right or back. Grass is safe, but trees and rocks block the way, so walk around them.
Roads have cars and trucks driving both ways at different speeds. Rivers can only be crossed on floating logs or lily pads, and landing in the water is a splash. Logs drift sideways, so hop off before one carries you off the edge. At train tracks a red light blinks and a bell rings just before a fast train rushes through.
Road Hopper 3D tips for a high score
Look at which way each lane is moving before you hop, then go right after a car passes. When the red light on the tracks starts blinking, stay on the grass and wait for the train. On a river, watch where the next log will be, not where it is now.
Do not stop for too long. The camera keeps moving forward slowly, and if your chicken falls too far behind or stands still for about 9 seconds, a hawk swoops down and carries it away. A "Hop forward!" sign and a hawk shadow warn you first. Quick taps are fine too, the game remembers up to 2 hops in a row.
How scoring and coins work in Road Hopper 3D
Your score is the furthest row you reach. Every 25 rows you get a burst of confetti, and a gold and white stripe on the ground marks your old best so you can see how close you are. Your best score is saved on this device.
Gold coins sit on the grass, on the roads and on lily pads. Coins are added up across all your games and unlock new hoppers: the Chick at 15 coins, the Duck at 40, the Penguin at 80, Robo at 140 and the Golden chicken at 220. Pick your hopper on the start or results screen.
Is Road Hopper 3D good for kids?
Yes. You do not need to read anything to play, and the first rows are gentle: slow cars, lily pads that stay still and no trains until a little later. Speed and traffic grow step by step as you go further. Getting caught is cartoon style, with flying feathers and a splash, and a short tip on the results screen explains what happened.
Can you play Road Hopper 3D on a phone?
Yes. Tap anywhere to hop forward and swipe to turn or step back. There is a pause button in the corner, and the game pauses by itself if you switch apps. It runs in the browser with WebGL, so there is nothing to install, and on slower phones it lowers the resolution and turns off shadows by itself to stay smooth.
