How to play Memory Match
All cards start face down. Flip two cards per turn. If both show the same animal, they hop up, get a green tick and stay face up. If not, they wiggle and flip back after 0.8 seconds, so try to remember where each animal was.
There are 3 levels: Easy has 12 cards (6 pairs), Medium has 16 cards (8 pairs) and Hard has 30 cards (15 pairs). The animals are picked at random from 18 cute faces, so every game looks a little different.
Memory Match scoring and stars
One move means flipping two cards. You get 3 stars with at most 10 moves on Easy, 14 on Medium or 28 on Hard. Up to 15, 20 or 38 moves earns 2 stars, and finishing always gives at least 1 star.
Score starts at 100 per pair. Each move beyond a perfect game costs 10 points and each second costs 1, but you never get less than 20 per pair. Each level keeps its own best score on this device.
Memory Match tips for fewer moves
Open cards in order, row by row, instead of tapping around at random. It is much easier to remember a spot when you know which row it came from.
When the first card of a turn shows an animal you have already seen, go straight for its partner. You do not have to wait for a wrong pair to flip back: tapping another card closes them right away.
Can you play Memory Match on a phone?
