Hell's Rider Weaknesses and How to Beat It in FF Resonance
Hell's Rider is the Chapter 1 boss in Grandshelt, the Royal Capital, and it brings Dark Skeletons along with it. It also saves a special skill for when it is the last one standing, so be ready once the skeletons fall.
How to Beat Hell's Rider
Before the Fight
- Equip both Leah and Tronn so the party covers Light and Ice.
- Lasswell has Ice of his own, so Rain can take either Vision.
- A few Potions double as weapons, since healing hurts the undead skeletons.
Hell's Rider Strategy
Clear the Skeletons Before the Rider
The Dark Skeletons chip at the party every turn, so remove them first. They work like the ones roaming the dungeon, so Light skills or healing drop them fast.
Mix Ice and Light on the Boss
Once it is alone, hit it with Ice from Lasswell and Tronn and Light from Leah. Expect its special skill now that nobody else is left.
Pick Tronn for the Resonance
After a Sweeping Stagger, choose Tronn's Hibernal Fury. It lands on the Ice weakness, and Leah's Healing Wind can wait unless HP is low.
Fire Limit Bursts Right Away
Rain and Lasswell's Limit Bursts are free damage here, so use them the moment they are ready.
