Iron Giant Weaknesses and How to Beat It in FF Resonance
Iron Giant stands in the Nameless Ruins in Chapter 5, with Liquid Flame waiting in the other room. Its physical defense is huge and it counters physical hits, so this is a job for your mages.
How to Beat Iron Giant
Before the Fight
- Run a magic heavy party and check that builds raise magic, not attack.
- Bring Lightning casters such as Sakura, Tronn and Shantotto.
- Pack Protect or a Multi-Cover tank for its physical hits.
Iron Giant Strategy
Leave the Swords Sheathed
Physical attacks barely hurt it and trigger counters. Let spells do all the work.
Lightning, Same as the Prologue
It is weak to Lightning, same as in the prologue. Sakura, Tronn and Shantotto bring strong magic Lightning.
Stack Physical Defense
Every attack it has is physical. Raise defense with gear and Protect, or let a Multi-Cover tank take the hits for everyone.
