Best Visions to Awaken First in Final Fantasy Resonance

Magicite is scarce early in Final Fantasy Resonance, so spend it where it pays off. Here is the order we suggest for each stage of the story.
  • Leah comes first: her first two stars add Cura and Curaga long before Fina learns Curaga at level 35.
  • Cloud is the best damage pick early, with Cross-Slash and Leaping Cleave at two stars.
  • Mid game, take Tidus, Noctis and Terra to two stars and Tronn and Y’shtola to one.
  • Once you have Magicite Cryst, finish Terra and Bartz at three stars.

Best Visions to Awaken First

Each Vision can be awakened three times, and every star costs a different Magicite. This table shows how far to push each Vision at each point in the game.

Early Game Awakening Priority

Leah is the first pick because healing keeps the early story safe. Her first star adds Cura, her second adds Curaga, and the third brings more support tools.

Cloud is next if you want more boss damage. Two stars add Cross-Slash, a physical attack boost and Leaping Cleave, which raises crit rate against staggered enemies by a lot.

Give the Warrior of Light Vision and Terra one star if you have Magicite left over. Everything else can wait. That does not make them bad, they are simply lower on the list.

Mid-Game Awakening Priority

Max out Leah and Cloud now. Leah's Curaga matters a lot here, since Fina does not learn it herself until level 35.

  • Tidus, Noctis and Terra: two stars as your roster grows
  • Tronn and Y’shtola: one star for now
  • Other Visions: hold your Magicite until you have a clear use
Before spending, look at who is actually in your party. The best Vision to awaken is the one your team will equip this chapter.

Late-Game Awakening Priority

Once Magicite Cryst starts coming in, push Terra and Bartz to three stars. Both sit in the top tier and their final star changes how they play.

How Vision Awakening Works

Visit the Moogle of Light in Grandport Harbor to awaken a Vision. Each star adds new spells, skills or passives you can use while that Vision is equipped.

FAQ

Which Vision should I awaken first in FF Resonance?

Leah. Her first two stars give Cura and Curaga, which keep your party alive through the early chapters.

Is Terra worth taking to three stars?

Yes. Her third star removes the extra MP cost of Magic Boost and adds Ribbon against status ailments, which makes it one of the best upgrades in the game.

How many times can a Vision be awakened?

Three times. The stars need a Magicite Shard, a Magicite and a Magicite Cryst, in that order.
