Set the Difficulty to Casual
Open Options and drop to Casual before a farming session. EXP does not change with difficulty, so you get the same reward for a quicker fight.
Finish Fights Without Getting Hit
If nobody in the party takes damage, you earn the No Damage Bonus for 20% extra EXP. Open with AoE attacks and act first so enemies never get a turn.

Wear EXP Boosting Gear

How to Beat Metal Cactuars
- They have very high defense but only 6 to 14 HP, so the number of hits matters more than damage.
- They can run away, so finish them in the first round if you can.
- Multi-hit skills that cannot miss work best. Noctis's Barrage hits four times and always connects.
Tonberries in the Gronoa Shrine
Some Gronoa Shrine fights have three Tonberries for 14,400 EXP and around 9,500 Gil. They walk up to your party before they strike, so hit their Lightning weakness and end it fast.
What Is the Level Cap?
Characters can reach level 99 in the full game. In the demo the cap is level 15, and anyone at the cap stops gaining EXP.
