How to play Fruit Slice
Fruit gets tossed up from the bottom of the screen in big arcs. Swipe your finger across it, or hold the left mouse button and drag, to cut it in half with a splash of juice. There are 9 kinds of fruit: watermelon, orange, apple, lemon, kiwi, plum, peach, pear and strawberry.
You start with 3 hearts. Every fruit that falls back down without being sliced costs a heart, and slicing a bomb costs a heart too. Bombs are dark with a red cross and a red glow, so they are easy to spot. When all 3 hearts are gone, the game ends.
The first wave is a warm up, so dropped fruit there costs nothing. After that the waves bring more fruit, fly a bit faster and start mixing in bombs from wave 3.
Fruit Slice scoring and combos
Each fruit is worth 10 points. Slice 3 or more fruit in one swipe for a combo, which adds 10 bonus points per fruit in it. A combo of 4 gives 40 points plus a 40 point bonus.
Sometimes a shiny golden apple shows up. It is worth 50 points and gives back one lost heart. Missing it costs nothing, so go for it without worry.
Tips for a high score in Fruit Slice
Fruit moves slowest at the top of its arc, and several pieces often line up there. Wait a moment and cut them with one long swipe to land combos. Keep your swipes away from anything glowing red.
Every 5th wave is a Fruit Party: 10 fruit in quick succession, no bombs, and dropped fruit costs no hearts. Slice as many as you can for easy points.
Can you play Fruit Slice on a phone?
Yes. Fruit Slice runs right in the browser with no download. On a phone or tablet you just swipe with your finger, and two fingers can slice at the same time. On a computer, hold the left mouse button and drag.
The game pauses by itself when you switch tabs or tap outside the game, and your best score is saved on your device.
