How to play Snow Ronin
You only move. Your ronin attacks on his own, so the whole game is about where you stand: kite the crowd, slip through gaps and never get cornered. Wisps, shadow spearmen, archers, exploding paper lanterns and big oni come from every side, and each wave is bigger than the last.
Defeated enemies burst into ink smoke and red petals and drop spirit gems. Walk near the gems to pull them in. Each level up pauses the game and shows 3 cards: pick one, reroll the set or skip.
Snow Ronin weapons and charms
There are 6 weapons, each with 5 levels: Katana (wide slash where you move, later behind you too and twice per swing), Shuriken (thrown at the nearest enemy), Spirit Lanterns (circle around you), Thunder Charm (lightning on enemies nearby), Frost Ring (hurts and slows everything close) and Kunai Fan (a spread of daggers where you face).
Charms boost everything: Rice Ball for max HP, Hot Tea for healing, Whetstone for damage, Paper Fan for bigger attacks, Wind Chime for faster attacks, Straw Sandals for speed, Lodestone for pickup range, Lacquer Armor to block damage and Lucky Cat for coins and better chests. You can carry 6 weapons and 6 charms.
Snow Ronin bosses and chests
A glowing elite shows up almost every minute. Beat it to get a chest with a free upgrade and coins. At 5:00 the Snow Witch arrives with rings of ice shards, spirals and ice spikes that appear under your feet, so keep moving. At 9:00 the Oni Lord charges in straight lines (watch the red lane) and stomps out shockwaves with three safe gaps marked in green.
Tips for a high score in Snow Ronin
Your score is kills plus 10 points per second survived, and lasting until 10:00 adds a 3,000 point bonus. Grab a second weapon early, run in wide circles so the crowd follows you in a line, and pick up rice balls when your HP bar under your feet turns low.
Coins you pick up are saved on your device. Spend them on dojo upgrades from the start screen: more max HP, more damage, faster feet, a bigger pickup range and extra rerolls for every run.
Can you play Snow Ronin on a phone?
Yes. Put your thumb anywhere and drag, a joystick appears right under it. Upgrade cards are big enough to tap, and the game fits portrait and landscape screens. Use the fullscreen button for the widest view.
