How to Change Difficulty in FF Resonance (Expert Mode)
Final Fantasy Resonance has three difficulty settings, and you can switch between them whenever you like. Here is where to find the option and what each level does.
- Change difficulty under Options, then Gameplay. It is the first setting listed.
- Casual, Normal and Expert are the three choices.
- Expert has stronger enemies but pays 1.5x MRP.
- EXP is the same on every difficulty.
- No trophy depends on difficulty.
How to Change Difficulty
- Open the Options menu.
- Go to the Gameplay tab.
- Pick a level under Difficulty at the top of the list.
All Difficulty Levels

| Expert | Tougher enemies, more MRP | Strategy fans, MRP farming |
- Casual lowers enemy HP, so fights end faster and Overkill bonuses come easily.
- Normal sits in between, with real battles that do not get in the way of the story.
- Expert hits harder but gives 1.5x MRP, great once your team is strong.
Since EXP does not change with difficulty, Casual is the quickest way to level. Swap to Expert when you want to rank up Visions.
Can You Change Difficulty Mid-Game?
Yes. Your choice at the start is not locked in, and you can change it any time outside of battle.
